Good practice seminars

The dissemination and promotion of good practice is one of the primary roles of CHRE. The purpose of the Good Practice Seminars is for the regulators to consider areas of good practice identified in our performance reviews.

Those that attend the events gain an understanding of:

  • How these areas of good practice were developed
  • The benefits and challenges of introducing this area of work

They are also able to consider whether good practice could be adopted in their organisation or by the professionals they regulate.

For the Good Practice Seminars in 2008/09, the regulators also took part in a discussion about the revision of the performance review process and standards.

The seminars were divided into five sessions:

  1. Standards
  2. Registration
  3. Fitness to practise
  4. Education
  5. Governance and external relations.

Presentations were given by each of the regulatory bodies followed by question and answer sessions.

The presentations for the Good Practice Seminars in 2007/08 and 2008/09 can be found by selecting the year from the dropdown menu below.
