CHRE to lead a review of regulatory equalities practice at the GTCE

The General Teaching Council for England (GTCE) has invited the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence to lead a review of the regulatory equalities practice, calling also upon the expertise of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). The findings of this review will include the scrutiny of ten cases involving allegations of racism which were heard by GTCE’s professional conduct committees.

The review is expected to reach its conclusion at the end of November 2010.
