Stuart was Chief Executive of the Northern Health and Social Services Board, he was a former member of the UK Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting and Director of Planning and Information, Northern Health and Social Services Board. Stuart was also the Chair of the Supportive and Palliative Care Network for Northern Ireland.
